B I O G R A P H Y

Liz is a graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, where she gained a degree in Classical Violin BMus (Hons). Whilst studying she took an interest in arranging popular music for her String Quartet, and gradually began arranging strings for many of her colleagues bands/ensembles.
​
A keen chamber musician, Liz has performed in many notable venues across the UK, such as the Bridgewater Hall (Manchester), Wigmore Hall (London), Town Hall (Leeds), Cadogan Hall (London).
​
As an orchestral musician, Liz enjoyed being in principal positions in many orchestral concerts both at the RNCM and on international tours with them.
Whilst at the RNCM, she was selected to take part in the Professional Experience Schemes with the BBC Philharmonic and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic,
Liz is a freelance violinist with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra in Manchester, and was also a member of the Britten Shostakovich Festival Orchestra in their inaugural year.

Whilst she thoroughly enjoys Classical music, Liz is a Multi-Genre musician and performs with multiple crossover ensembles, such as Kaleidoscope Orchestra, Northern Session Collective, Ignition Orchestra and the Gatecrasher Orchestra.
